Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to pesticide use
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections and field checks to identify pest and disease problems
Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
Prescribe and oversee the application of pesticides and other pest control measures
Maintain detailed records of inspections, treatments, and outcomes
Provide recommendations to farmers and agricultural businesses on best practices for pest prevention
Stay current with regulations regarding pesticide use and ensure compliance with all laws
Educate farmers and other clients about pest life cycles and environmentally sustainable control options
