Experience leading and managing a team of engineers and driving results through cross-functional collaboration.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Experience with software engineering practices and familiarity with coding languages and frameworks relevant to the field.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers to foster a high-performance engineering culture.
Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.
