Summary of the Role
As a Senior Child Welfare Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within the community. Your role will involve assessing and addressing the needs of children who are at risk, working closely with families, and coordinating with various social services to facilitate support and care. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's safety and well-being.
Develop and implement care plans that address the needs of children and families.
Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other professionals to support the child’s development and stability.
Monitor the progress of children and families to ensure that interventions are effective.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Supervise and mentor junior child welfare workers to enhance the quality of service delivery.
Advocate for children's rights and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Prepare and maintain accurate reports, case files, and legal documents.
Participate actively in community outreach programs to promote child welfare services.
Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to evaluate case progress and outcomes.
