The Conservation Educator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering educational programs and public outreach initiatives related to conservation and environmental awareness. Experience working with a variety of age groups and educational backgrounds.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive conservation education programs for students, teachers, and the general public.
Collaborate with environmental organizations, schools, and community groups to promote conservation and sustainable practices.
Develop educational materials and resources to support conservation efforts and increase public understanding of environmental issues.
Conduct workshops, seminars, and guided tours to educate on environmental preservation and wildlife protection.
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and initiatives and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
Stay current with environmental science research, policy changes and adapt educational content accordingly.
Train and mentor junior educators and volunteers in conservation education best practices.
Manage grant applications and funding for educational programs.
