As a junior Adult Congenital Heart Disease Specialist, you will operate within a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized care for adults with congenital heart defects. Qualifications
Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of a residency in cardiology.
Completion or current enrollment in a fellowship program in adult congenital heart disease.
Valid medical license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients with congenital heart disease.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
Participate in the transition of care from pediatric to adult congenital cardiology.
Engage in research activities related to adult congenital heart disease.
Educate patients and families about disease management and health maintenance.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Maintain detailed medical records and documentation.
Participate in regular clinical rounds and interdisciplinary case conferences.
Comply with all regulatory and institutional guidelines and procedures.
