Summary of the Role
The Agricultural Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to the agriculture industry. This includes inspecting farms, processing plants, and equipment to ensure food safety, animal welfare, and environmental protection. The ideal candidate will have experience in agricultural practices, the ability to analyze and interpret regulations, and possess strong communication skills for reporting findings.

Qualifications

Familiarity with regulations and standards pertaining to agriculture, food safety, and environmental protection.
Certification or licensure as required by the state or federal government.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of farms, ranches, and agricultural production facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Collect and analyze samples of produce, feed, soil, and other agricultural products for testing.
Investigate consumer complaints and concerns regarding agricultural products.
Prepare detailed reports of inspections, findings, and actions taken.
Collaborate with farmers, processors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and promote best practices.
Stay current with changes in legislation affecting agriculture and advise stakeholders on compliance matters.
Participate in educational programs and provide outreach to the agricultural community on regulatory requirements.
