Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of medical internship with a focus on neurology.
Eligibility for state medical licensure.
Passing the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX).
Strong clinical skills in the field of neurology.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient consultations to obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform neurological examinations.
Analyze and interpret complex neurological tests, including EEGs, EMGs, and brain scans.
Assist in the management and treatment of patients with neurological disorders, following established protocols.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care to patients.
Keep up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in neurology.
Participate in rounds and educational meetings with the neurology team.
Document all patient encounters and treatments in the electronic medical record system.
