Summary of the Role
The Healthcare IT Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and managing technology-based projects in healthcare settings. This senior-level position requires an individual with a strong background in both healthcare and information technology, as well as proven project management skills to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specified requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the healthcare IT sector.
Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent is highly desired.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant frameworks.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other clinical applications.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex IT projects successfully.
Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of IT projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.
Lead cross-functional teams including IT professionals, clinicians, and administrative staff to deliver complex projects.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources; anticipate and mitigate risks; and ensure quality control throughout project life cycles.
Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, sponsors, and team members; provide regular status reports and escalate issues as necessary.
Drive the adoption of project management best practices and tools within the healthcare organization.
Collaborate with clinical and IT leadership to assess needs, develop project proposals, and support decision making with expert advice.
Ensure that healthcare IT solutions developed or implemented meet both clinical and operational requirements and standards.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the work of external consultants and service providers.
