Summary of the Role
As a Respiratory Nurse, you'll play an essential role in the care of patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia. You'll provide specialized nursing care, patient education, and support for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients' respiratory health status.
Administer medications and treatments, such as inhalers, nebulizers, and oxygen therapy.
Educate patients and their families on managing respiratory conditions.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
Operate and maintain respiratory equipment.
Keep accurate patient records and report any changes to the supervising physician.
Respond to and manage emergency situations.
Provide emotional support to patients and families coping with chronic respiratory issues.
