Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures, tests, and surgeries according to physicians' availability and patient needs.
Manage and optimize healthcare provider schedules to ensure maximum productivity and patient access.
Communicate scheduling changes or cancellations to patients and healthcare providers promptly.
Collaborate with medical staff to establish patient priorities and to resolve scheduling conflicts.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize scheduling software to manage appointments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Prepare daily and weekly schedules for medical staff review and coordination.
Monitor and report on patient scheduling patterns to identify potential improvements in the booking process.
