The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, testing, and implementing powertrain solutions that deliver high performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Required Skills
Advanced proficiency in CAD and CAE software for powertrain design.
Strong computational and simulation skills, including experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar.
Expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with proficiency in data acquisition and processing tools.
Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science as they apply to powertrain systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Hands-on experience with powertrain testing and validation equipment.
Project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in powertrain development for automotive applications.
Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, electric motors, batteries, and control systems.
Experience with powertrain simulation and modeling tools.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) considerations.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to automotive powertrains.
Proven track record of technical leadership and project management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of innovative powertrain systems to meet performance and efficiency targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate powertrain components into vehicle architectures.
