Qualifications

Certification in environmental compliance such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and laws.
Experience with environmental auditing and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Investigate environmental incidents and prepare necessary documentation and reports.
Provide guidance and training to staff on environmental policies and best practices.
Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to reduce environmental impact and ensure compliance with laws.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies and handle any correspondence or negotiations.
Keep current with environmental legislation and inform management about upcoming regulation changes.
Coordinate with different departments to implement compliance programs and monitor their effectiveness.
Assist in the preparation of permits and applications for environmental projects or expansions.
