Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of autonomous systems for agricultural processes such as planting, harvesting, and irrigation.
Develop and optimize control systems for farm machinery and robotics.
Collaborate with agronomists and other professionals to ensure that automation technologies meet agricultural needs and enhance crop yield.
Manage projects from concept through to completion, including budgeting and scheduling.
Conduct research and development to innovate new automation solutions for farming challenges.
Ensure that all farm automation systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Provide technical support and training to farm staff on new automation equipment and software.
Analyze data collected from automated systems to inform decision-making and improve system performance.
