Summary of the Role
As an Intermediate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced nursing care for patients with various types of wounds, including acute, chronic, and post-surgical wounds. You will work in various healthcare settings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and implement wound care treatment plans.

Qualifications
Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner.
At least 2 years of direct wound care experience.
Certification in wound care nursing (e.g., CWCN, CWS) is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using electronic medical records and healthcare IT systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify wound etiology and create individualized care plans.
Implement advanced wound care therapies, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control measures.
Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, and social workers.
Educate patients and their families on wound care procedures and prevention strategies.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Document all care and treatment activities in patient medical records.
Participate in research activities related to wound care and contribute to the development of best practices.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior nursing staff and participate in professional development activities.
