Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of livestock facilities and ensure the well-being of the animals
Develop and implement livestock management plans and breeding strategies
Manage budgeting, purchasing, and inventory of feed and supplies
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and animal welfare standards
Monitor animal health and coordinate with veterinarians for care and treatments
Lead, train, and supervise ranch hands and other employees
Analyze production data to make informed decisions for herd improvement
Collaborate with other agricultural managers to optimize overall farm productivity
