Summary of the Role
A Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services for their organization. Responsibilities
Develop, hone, and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles or disruptions.
Lead a team of purchasing professionals to carry out procurement strategies and ensure a seamless supply of goods and services.
Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms and monitor vendor compliance with the terms and conditions of the contracts.
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
Implement and oversee quality management and control systems.
Prepare procurement reports and update on a regular basis to keep management informed of the strategic sourcing process.
Stay current with procurement trends and innovations, and apply best practices to improve operational efficiency.
