Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
Current, valid Nurse Practitioner license with a specialty in family, adult-gerontology, or acute care preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a preference for experience in a rural setting.
Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent.
Valid DEA registration and prescribing authority.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and community members.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses and injuries.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans aligned with patient health needs and rural health practices.
Provide emergency care, participate in on-call rotations, and respond to medical emergencies within the community.
Facilitate patient education and promote health and wellness through preventive medicine strategies.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Adapt to the diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs of the rural community.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with rural health issues and best practices.
Participate in community health initiatives and provide outreach services as needed.
Ensure compliance with health care regulations and maintain thorough patient records.
