Qualifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) if applicable.
Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care or related specialty.
Experience in using wound care technology and products, such as negative pressure wound therapy systems and advanced dressing materials.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the etiology of the wound and classify its severity.
Develop individualized care plans based on the latest clinical evidence to facilitate wound healing.
Monitor and document the progress of the wound healing process and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Provide education to patients and their families about wound care management and prevention strategies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians, surgeons, and nurses, to optimize patient outcomes.
Stay informed about advances in wound care and integrate new findings into clinical practice.
Manage infection control measures and apply appropriate dressings or devices as required.
Advocate for the patient to ensure they receive appropriate pain management and nutritional support.
