Summary of the Role
We are seeking a Senior Academic Counselor to provide guidance and support to our students in their academic journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and progress of students, helping them set realistic academic and career goals, and assisting in resolving any academic difficulties. The Senior Academic Counselor will work closely with faculty and staff to ensure that students are receiving the best possible advice and resources to succeed.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record in counseling and mentoring students to achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
Advise students on academic requirements, course selection, and career planning.
Monitor academic progress of students and provide interventions to aid in their success.
Develop and implement academic improvement programs for students at risk.
Coordinate with faculty to align student academic goals with curriculum paths.
Facilitate workshops and seminars on academic skills and strategies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing requirements and regulations in education.
Support students in understanding university policies and procedures.
Help students navigate academic challenges, such as changes in major, transfer credits, and academic appeals.
Provide mentorship and personal development guidance to students.
