Summary of the Role
As an Equine Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall care and management of horses within a stable, farm, or equestrian center. Your role will focus on ensuring the health and well-being of the horses, managing staff, and maintaining facilities. You will work collaboratively with veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals to provide the best care for the horses under your charge.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Equine Studies, Animal Science, or related field preferred
Intermediate level of experience (2-5 years) managing horses and staff in an equine facility
Knowledge of horse health, nutrition, and general care
Experience with breeding management and foaling
Ability to work with a variety of horse breeds and temperaments
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Current first aid and CPR certification for equine
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate farm equipment
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily care and feeding schedules for horses
Manage and train stable staff and ensure standards of care are maintained
Oversee health care and preventive measures, including vaccinations, deworming, and farrier services
Plan and coordinate breeding programs and care for broodmares and foals
Maintain records of horse health, training, and performance
Manage facility maintenance and horse equipment inventory
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Develop and manage budgets for the equine operation
Liaise with clients, horse owners, and professionals in the equine industry
