Responsibilities
Evaluate and analyze complex insurance claims to determine the extent of the insurance company's liability.
Investigate and process claims quickly and accurately.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and other insurers in accordance with company practices and procedures.
Coordinate with legal counsel in the handling of lawsuits against the company in relation to claims.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior claims analysts.
Assure compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to claims handling.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders including claimants, agents, underwriters, and other internal departments.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on claims status and resolution.
Identify patterns and trends in claims to assist the company in fraud detection and risk management.
