Certification in Pediatric Nursing (CPN) or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
Understanding of pediatric endocrine disorders and treatments.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial patient assessments and obtain detailed patient histories specific to endocrine health.
Work closely with pediatric endocrinologists to develop and implement patient care plans.
Provide education and support to patients and their families about endocrine disorders and treatment options.
Administer medication and perform routine follow-ups to monitor patient progress.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Participate in ongoing education to stay current with the latest pediatric endocrinology nursing practices.
