Summary of the Role
As a Crop Production Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of crop production to ensure optimal growth, quality and yields. You will work closely with a team of agronomists, technicians, and laborers to develop and implement cultivation plans, employ sustainable farming practices, and maintain the highest agricultural standards. Your role is vital in ensuring that the farm produces high-quality, profitable crops while also adhering to environmental and safety regulations.

Strong understanding of sustainable farming methods and integrated pest management (IPM).
Ability to lead a diverse team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to changing conditions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Current Pesticide Applicator's License is preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement crop production plans and schedules.
Oversee the selection and planting of crops, as well as the use of pest control and fertilization methods.
Manage and coordinate irrigation systems and soil conditioning programs.
Monitor crop growth and health, and implement necessary adjustments to cultivation practices.
Work with agronomists and technical experts to optimize growing conditions and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain accurate records of all farming activities, including planting, chemical applications, yields, and costs.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and environmental safety standards.
Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of farm inputs and outputs.
Lead, train, and supervise farm staff in effective and efficient crop production techniques.
Stay updated on the latest agricultural trends, technologies, and sustainable farming practices.
