Summary of the Role
As an Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting detailed audits of various business processes, financial accounts, and compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will involve reviewing and assessing the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial statements, ensuring adherence to internal controls and identifying areas for financial and operational improvements.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a relevant field.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenses are preferred.
Proven knowledge of auditing standards, laws, rules and regulations.
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Sound independent judgement.
Responsibilities
Examine and analyze accounting records to determine financial status of establishment and prepare financial reports concerning operating procedures.
Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters.
Examine records and interview workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.
Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present findings to management.
Assess risk management tactics and internal financial controls within the company.
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislations.
