Responsibilities
Conduct initial patient evaluations and assessments to determine mental health conditions and the appropriate level of care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring their effectiveness and side effects.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling sessions to patients, individually or in group settings.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensive care.
Stay current with emerging psychiatric research and integrate new findings into patient treatment plans.
Maintain confidentiality and ethics as they pertain to patient privacy and sensitive information.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, progress, and treatment adjustments.
Provide guidance and education to patients and their families about mental health issues and treatment options.
