Certification of compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)).
Responsibilities
Developing, implementing, and managing an organization's compliance programs.
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and setting the tone for risk management within the company.
Creating and updating internal policies to mitigate risk and ensure legal/regulatory compliance.
Reviewing and evaluating company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
Drafting, modifying, and implementing company policies.
Collaborating with external auditors and HR departments to conduct regular audits.
Educating and training employees on regulations and industry practices.
Addressing employee concerns or questions on legal compliance.
Preparing compliance reports to present to upper management.
Staying abreast of industry changes and adjusting compliance programs as necessary.
