Summary of the Role
As an Import/Export Specialist at the junior level, you will be responsible for facilitating the shipment of products in and out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country, and international law. The role includes the preparation of documents and electronic submissions, the calculation of international freight value, and ensuring shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.
Required Skills
Familiarity with logistics and inventory software programs.
Basic understanding of international finance and currency transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Understanding of international trade and customs regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating the shipment of goods from the manufacturing plant to the final point of distribution.
Prepare necessary import documentation such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo control documents.
File exports and imports through customs and arranging for the payment of duties and taxes.
Monitor and ensure the compliance with changes in trade laws and regulations.
Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
Research and resolve shipment delays or issues
Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.
