Summary of the Role
The Garbage Collection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of garbage collection crews. This position requires a combination of management skills and knowledge of waste management practices to ensure that garbage collection is conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of garbage collection crews and ensure that routes are completed in a timely manner.
Manage crew schedules, coordinate with drivers and helpers, and adjust routes as necessary.
Enforce safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Train new employees on proper waste collection and disposal procedures.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Coordinate with local authorities and community organizations regarding waste disposal and special pickups.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to garbage collection services.
Ensure maintenance and proper operation of collection vehicles and equipment.
Prepare reports on collection activities, incidents, and crew performance.
Implement waste reduction and recycling initiatives in accordance with environmental guidelines.
