Experience in mentoring and supervising less experienced staff.
Capability to operate diagnostic equipment (e.g., X-ray machines).
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with surgeries and medical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
Manage the training and guidance of junior assistants and new staff.
Maintain clean and sanitized work areas and equipment.
Control and restrain animals in a safe manner.
Handle client communications and maintain records of animal care.
Contribute to inventory management and order supplies as necessary.
Provide emergency first aid to animals as needed.
Oversee the care and maintenance of animal housing facilities.
