As a Cybersecurity Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in partnering with sales teams to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. Required Skills
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and endpoint security solutions.
Ability to perform demonstrations and explain complex cybersecurity solutions in an accessible manner.
Strong presentation skills and the confidence to present to various audience sizes.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to develop tailored security solutions.
Up-to-date knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and competitive landscape.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in a sales engineering role within the cybersecurity industry.
Strong technical background with a solid understanding of cybersecurity technologies and products.
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
Experience with responding to RFPs and building technical proposals.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer requirements and provide technical support during sales presentations and product demonstrations.
Assist with the development of proposals and RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
Act as a liaison between sales and technical teams, translating technical features into benefits for the customer.
Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on customer interactions and market trends.
Stay current with the latest cybersecurity technologies, threats, and regulatory issues to serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients.
Lead technical discussions and workshops with prospects to understand their security challenges and showcase relevant product features.
Help customers through the post-sales process by assisting with product implementation and customization.
Manage and maintain detailed knowledge of product specifications, operation, and deployment capabilities.
