Understanding of veterinary terminology and basic pet health care.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets as they arrive at the clinic and ensure a warm welcome.
Schedule and confirm appointments, manage client files, and update records as needed.
Handle billing, process payments, and explain costs and services to clients.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage the clinic's communication channels.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
Collaborate with veterinary staff to coordinate patient care and relay important information.
Order and stock front office supplies, and manage inventory control.
Assist in the implementation of clinic policies and procedures, especially related to client services.
Train and mentor junior reception staff and contribute to team development.
Handle emergency situations with composure, and prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
