Summary of the Role
An Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) specializes in women's reproductive health, providing medical and surgical care to women with expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. This role includes a mix of primary and specialized care, including the diagnosis and treatment of obstetrical and gynecological conditions, preventative health measures, and patient education. As an OB/GYN, you will work closely with patients to manage their overall reproductive health, including during pregnancy and childbirth.

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an OB/GYN residency program.
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as an OB/GYN, post-residency.
Strong clinical skills in obstetric and gynecological procedures.
Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients in the area of obstetrics and gynecology, including diagnosing and treating a wide array of conditions.
Manage patient care through the continuum of pregnancy, including prenatal visits, delivery, and postpartum care.
Perform routine gynecological procedures, including but not limited to pap smears, pelvic exams, and cancer screenings.
Conduct specialized procedures, such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopies, depending on credentialing and experience.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and treatment plans for patients.
Stay current with advancements in the field and apply evidence-based practices to patient care.
Engage in patient education regarding reproductive health, contraceptive options, and preventative care.
Participate in on-call rotations and attend to emergencies as needed.
