As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced nursing care across the continuum of healthcare services to meet the specialized needs of female patients. This role involves addressing issues of menstrual cycle, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause, as well as providing general healthcare and disease prevention. Qualifications
Current and valid RN license and Nurse Practitioner Board Certification in the state of practice.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in women's health.
Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on women's health.
2-5 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for experience in women's health.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Eligibility for Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
Responsibilities
Conduct gynecological exams and provide family planning advice.
Manage and treat common health problems in women, such as STDs, pelvic pain, and hormonal disorders.
Counsel and educate patients on reproductive health and wellness.
Prescribe medications and manage treatments for chronic and acute illnesses.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Keep detailed patient records and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in women's health and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
