Summary of the Role
As an Engine Calibration Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for optimizing engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. The role involves working closely with the design and developmental teams, utilizing various testing methods and tools to calibrate and fine-tune engine parameters to meet required specifications and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and control systems.
Knowledge of emissions regulations and testing procedures is preferred.
Proficiency in using engine calibration tools and software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, INCA).
Ability to analyze complex data and technical information.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technical field.
Responsibilities
Provide support in the development and calibration of engine control systems.
Carry out engine performance analysis and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with emissions regulations through rigorous testing and modifications.
Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate engine systems with vehicle functions.
Analyze test data to identify trends and report findings to senior engineers.
