Summary of the Role
A Sports Medicine Physician specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating injuries related to participating in sports and/or exercise. As a senior role, this position requires in-depth knowledge of sports-related injuries, a high level of skill in treatment methodologies, and experience in working with athletes of all levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a commitment to helping athletes achieve their highest potential while maintaining their wellbeing.
Required Skills
Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for sports-related injuries.
Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound and other diagnostic tools.

Qualifications
Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified in Sports Medicine.
5+ years of experience in sports medicine or a related field.
Current state medical license and DEA certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Completion of a fellowship in Sports Medicine is preferred.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals on sports medicine topics are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to athletes, including injury diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies.
Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
Advise and educate athletes on nutrition, supplements, and performance enhancement techniques.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, to coordinate patient care.
Conduct research in the field of sports medicine to contribute to advancements in the field.
Stay current on the latest sports medicine practices and incorporate them into patient treatment plans.
Assist in the development of injury prevention programs for sports organizations.
Serve as a team physician for sports teams, as required.
Provide emergency care at sporting events when necessary.
