Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or relevant field.
Proven experience as an event manager with 5+ years managing corporate events.
Strong portfolio of previously managed events (conferences, meetings, parties, corporate events)
In-depth knowledge of project management principles and event management software.
Excellent vendor management skills.
Robust organizational skills including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute event plans, including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets.
Collaborate with different departments to ensure event objectives are met, and all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Negotiate with vendors and service providers to achieve the best pricing and service levels.
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations.
Manage and coordinate all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional materials, etc.
Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations, reporting on the outcomes to measure event success and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain a working relationship with vendors and venues
Create reliable financial reports and collect payments on time
Oversee and manage event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes
Stay updated on industry trends and maintain a network of contacts
