Summary of the Role
As a Formulation Scientist, you will contribute to the development of innovative formulations for various products, including those in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. You will apply your knowledge of chemistry and materials science to design, test, and scale up new product formulations that meet specific requirements and constraints.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in formulation development or a related industry.
Strong understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials and how they interact within a formulation.
Experience with analytical and laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new product formulations according to project requirements.
Conduct experiments and stability studies to evaluate the performance of product formulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality control, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure the successful development and scale-up of formulations.
Prepare technical documentation, including formulation protocols, product specifications, and batch records.
Implement and adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines throughout the formulation development process.
Analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations for formulation improvements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and raw materials to enhance formulation development.
