The Farm Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various types of agricultural machinery used in the planting, fertilizing, cultivating, and harvesting processes. Knowledge of GPS and other agricultural technology is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Operate a variety of farm equipment, including tractors, combines, plows, and irrigation systems.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment to ensure it is in working order.
Adjust equipment settings for optimal performance in different soil types and conditions.
Keep detailed records of equipment use, maintenance schedules, and any repairs made.
Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to recommended rates and safety procedures.
Assist with the planning and implementation of planting and harvesting schedules.
