Summary of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transplant Nurse to join our dynamic team, providing exceptional care and support to patients before, during, and after transplant surgery. This role requires advanced clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for patient advocacy and education.

Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare databases.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a transplant or critical care setting.
Certification in transplant nursing (CCTN or CCTC) is highly preferred.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and provide clinical care for transplant patients throughout the transplant continuum.
Educate patients and their families about transplant procedures and post-operative care requirements.
Monitor patient vitals and recovery progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established policies.
Participate in transplant surgery preparation and assist surgical teams as required.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including surgeons, physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other health care professionals.
Ensure compliance with national standards and regulations pertaining to transplantation.
Participate in ongoing research, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development in the field of transplant nursing.
