Summary of the Role
As a senior Biotech Patent Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in protecting intellectual property pertaining to biotechnological inventions. You'll work closely with biotech companies, research institutions, and individual inventors, navigating complex patent laws to ensure their innovations are secured and legally defendable.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent law with a focus on biotechnology.
Strong academic background in biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
Experience with patent litigation and intellectual property licensing.
Responsibilities
Drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications for biotechnological inventions.
Advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate, and potential infringement issues.
Conducting patent landscape analyses and providing strategic recommendations.
Negotiating and drafting license agreements and other intellectual property-related contracts.
Representing clients in patent opposition proceedings and litigation as necessary.
Maintaining current knowledge of developments in biotech patent law and relevant scientific advancements.
Collaborating with scientific experts to understand and clearly articulate complex biotechnological concepts.
