Extensive experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other network security measures.
Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web related protocols.
Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
Experience in planning, researching, and developing security policies within an organization.
Proven ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive network security policies and architecture.
Conduct regular system and network vulnerability assessments and execute remediation strategies.
Manage the installation and configuration of security hardware and software.
Oversee the monitoring of networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
Design secure network systems and work with the IT team to implement these designs.
Collaborate with management to enhance security protocols and respond to new types of cyber threats.
Lead security audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards like HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI-DSS.
Provide security training and guidance to team members.
Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for network security.
