Summary of the Role
The Indirect Tax Manager will oversee the company's indirect tax compliance and strategy, ensuring that all indirect taxation matters such as value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other applicable taxes are handled efficiently and in compliance with local, state, national, and international tax laws. The role involves working closely with various departments, including finance and legal, and providing guidance on tax implications for business decisions.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect tax management, with a proven track record of successful tax planning and compliance.
Strong knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations at the local, state, national, and international levels.
Experience with tax audit procedures and interacting with tax authorities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
Lead the indirect tax compliance process, including preparation, review, and submission of tax returns in a timely manner.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
Manage indirect tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
Provide expert advice and support on indirect tax matters to senior management and cross-functional teams.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and analyze the impact on company operations and finances.
Oversee the reconciliation of indirect tax accounts and ensure accurate reporting in financial statements.
Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax planning strategies into business operations and financial planning.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging continuous learning.
