Summary of the Role
We are seeking a Structural Materials Engineer who will be responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and implementing materials used in the construction of structures. The ideal candidate will work with a variety of materials, including metals, polymers, concrete, and composites, to ensure the optimization of performance, cost, and safety.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of professional experience in materials engineering, preferably within the construction or structural engineering industry
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations regarding structural materials
Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software and material analysis tools
Responsibilities
Evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and their behavior under various conditions
Develop new materials and composites to meet engineering specifications
Collaborate with design and construction teams to choose appropriate materials for different structures
Test materials to assess their durability, strength, and performance
Analyze failures and deterioration of structures to determine causes and solutions
Stay up-to-date with the latest materials technology and industry trends
Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations
Provide technical support to project teams and stakeholders
