Summary of the Role
As a PCB Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the physical layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) across a variety of applications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards to ensure that PCB designs are optimized for manufacturability, functionality, and reliability. You will work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to bring complex electronic systems to life, in alignment with project specifications and constraints.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout.
Experience with industry-standard EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools, such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
Understanding of IPC standards and the ability to design PCBs that comply with these standards.
Experience in flex, rigid, and multi-layer PCB design.
Knowledge of high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design techniques.
Familiarity with electronic components and the ability to create custom footprints and symbols.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute PCB layout designs using industry-standard design software.
Partner with electrical engineers to ensure schematics are accurately translated into PCB layouts.
Apply knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes to optimize designs for manufacturability.
Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to enhance the quality and performance of the PCBs.
Work with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of PCBs within larger systems and enclosures.
Utilize knowledge of signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC considerations to optimize PCB layouts.
Maintain awareness of new technologies and industry trends to improve design techniques and workflows.
Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
