A senior revenue accountant is responsible for overseeing the revenue accounting processes within an organization. They ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Experience with accounting software and systems, preferably with ERP systems.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the revenue accounting department.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports.
Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Review contracts and agreements to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately.
Coordinate with sales and legal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
Maintain and update internal controls for revenue processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Assist in developing and implementing new accounting procedures and policies related to revenue.
Lead monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, including account reconciliations and analysis.
Provide guidance and training to junior staff on revenue accounting issues and practices.
Liaise with external auditors during financial audits and provide required information.
Participate in strategic planning and forecasting by providing revenue insights.
