Summary of the Role
As a key member of the executive management team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships, and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license is beneficial.
Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Responsibilities
Develop fiscal strategies aligned with the company's goals.
Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
Review all formal finance, HR, and IT-related procedures.
Analyze and interpret financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
