Summary of the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to lead our employee training and development efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating education and training programs that enhance employee performance and drive organizational success. This role requires a deep understanding of learning methodologies, curriculum design, and adult learning principles, as well as the ability to measure training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and changing business needs.

At least 5 years of experience in a learning and development role within a corporate setting
Prior experience designing and implementing a variety of training programs
Strong understanding of learning management systems and e-learning platforms
Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Experience with training metrics and measuring the impact of learning interventions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead and manage projects
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Certification in training (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)) is a plus
Responsibilities
Design and deliver employee training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and individual roles
Develop and maintain a curriculum that includes a wide range of training methods including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs, e-learning, workshops, and simulations
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors, and recommend improvements as needed
Manage the learning management system (LMS) to ensure that training materials are accessible to staff
Keep up-to-date with the latest training and development trends and best practices
Lead cross-functional project teams to design and implement innovative L&D solutions
Collaborate with HR and department leaders to align training with strategic goals and performance management
Prepare and control the training budget to ensure efficient use of resources
Analyze training data to determine the impact of learning interventions on business outcomes and report on training ROI
