Summary of the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Production Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with directors and departments to develop the visual concept of a production. You will be responsible for designing sets, costumes, and props that bring stories to life on stage or screen. Understanding of film and stage production processes, including lighting, sound, and visual effects.
Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in production design.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize and create the visual style and aesthetic of productions.
Design sets, costumes, and props adhering to the production's budget and timeline.
Collaborate with directors, producers, and other departments to ensure design elements align with the narrative and technical requirements.
Supervise the construction and dressing of sets, ensuring they are completed on schedule.
Manage the art department, delegating tasks and overseeing the work of art directors, set decorators, and other staff.
Research historical, architectural, and cultural contexts to enhance authenticity in designs.
Attend rehearsals and collaborate with the lighting and sound teams to refine the visual environment.
Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies in the industry.
