Responsibilities
Implement and manage site operational procedures and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Oversee the receipt, processing, and disposal of waste materials.
Maintain records of all landfill activities, including volumes of waste received, equipment usage, and environmental monitoring.
Work with engineers to design, operate, and maintain landfill gas collection and treatment systems.
Develop and manage the site budget, including forecasting and cost-control measures.
Lead and train staff, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with local authorities and community groups to address environmental concerns and promote sustainability initiatives.
Handle emergent issues, such as hazardous waste spills or community complaints.
