Summary of the Role
The Transmission Line Engineer will be responsible for the design, optimization, and analysis of power transmission lines. This role involves ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical power distribution, as well as compliance with safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, experience with transmission line design software, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in transmission line design and analysis.
Familiarity with industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, and ASCE.
Proficient with transmission line design software (e.g., PLS-CADD, Tower).
Understanding of load flow analysis, fault studies, and grid stability.
Ability to work with CAD tools for designing and drafting.
Current Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Responsibilities
Design and optimize power transmission line structures and systems.
Conduct analysis to ensure structural integrity and compliance with load specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transmission lines with other power system components.
Prepare and review technical documentation, such as design plans, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate with contractors and provide technical support during construction and maintenance activities.
